Since the new project is already announced by Robert, I thought it fitting to tell you a bit more about it.

Battlefield Evolution World at War is a WW II skirmish game from Mongoose Publishing written by me.
World at War rulebook

Battlefield Evolution: World at War was written with 28 or 20 mm miniatures in mind. The official Dream Pod 9 Gear Krieg minis are 1/100 or 15mm miniatures.
This proves no problem at all since the Battlefield Evolution: World at War system is flexible enough to handle this scale as long as your minis are individually based. We found that the weapon ranges look in fact more realistic when using individually based 15mm infantry miniatures. :)

You can download the core Bf:Evo rules as part of the Bf:Evo Developer Pack for free here: Evolution Developer Pack
My free World at War: Add On gives you additional rules and game examples that make World at War an even better game (at least in my humble opinion) …
To get a feel of my pdf Vehcile Compendiums, please check the A.D.Publishing section at the Wargames Vault, feel free to download any of the free Full Sized previews.

World at War is a much simpler game when compared to the Silouette engine.
The good side is that you can easily play bigger battles. ;)

If you have any additional questions about the project, feel free to ask here. :)

I am not familiar with the Battlefield Evolution rules but anything that brings Gear Krieg back to the attention of the rapidly growing WWWII community is a fantastic idea. I'll be keeping an eye on the project.

Free is always good, and any reason to get cool looking minis is also good for me. Not my bank account sadly, but we have come to terms with that.

Hi All,

With news of Gear Krieg for Battlefield Evolution in the second half of 2009, its peaked Phil's interest in sculpting a few new Gear Krieg minatures. We'll try and find time between Heavy Gear releases this summer to work in sculpting time for a few new models, like the British Wagsworth Quadruped, the American General Jackson Walker and the Japanese Shiki 38 and 41 Walkers. :D

This is what stopped me from getting into the game, if you guys do miniatures, I will surely get all our FoW players to play GK too.

??? But DP9 is already producing miniatures for Gear Krieg!
Just check the DP9 Online store...

Or are you only interested in any of the 4 mentioned models?

Meant doing miniatures for the missing units as they are pretty important aspect of the game.

Dohh, now even me got it...
IMO the most important units are already released.
But I have to agree - a Jackson will not hurt the Allied cause... ;)

True, the Soviet walkers are a bit underrepresented (aka - not there!) in GK...

Hi again,
The British and Commonwealth Vehicle Compendium was published last week and is again going strong at the Wargames Vault.
Thanks to everyone who bought a copy!
But I also continued to work on other projects. I worked on some US vehicles (more next week) and some Gear Krieg models.

Those British walkers look great.

I'm tempted by the pdf releases, since it seems much more economical than buying hard copy books from overseas these days.

Thanks, I am really on it at the moment.
Next weekend another German walker (Thor!) will be done.

Pdf books also have the charm that you are only printing what you really need for the game.
And we made it out policy to ALWAYS provide a full colour eye candy ink hungry version + a clean B&W printer friendly one!
Add the unit cards and you have the usual A.D.Publishing deal!

Whoa this is awesome! GK is still alive and Phil might be doing some new sculpts! And the people rejoice. Agis, what company do you use for the 15mm figs? I like the Flames of War stuff myself, but I'm always interested in expanding the list of 15mm's.
